Even when you don’t have anything special planned in your day, if you’re equipped with the right gear, you’ll be setting yourself up for an array of adventure. We had to run some errands down in Bishop today and just happened to have our climbing gear with us. It couldn’t have been a better time to make a pit stop at one of our favorite bouldering spots, The Happy Boulders.
After a quick 15 minute walk up a sandy scenic path we found ourselves at a particular boulder we’ve been eyeing for quite some time. We set Bodhi up with his chalk bag and some sticks and we were set. My husband and I took turns on some routes while Bodhi explored his own terrain (making an impression on everyone who walked by).
It’s official. A toddler with a chalk bag is the best climbing accessory available. I highly suggest everyone get one.
After our pit stop at The Happy’s the three of us found ourselves a whole lot happier than we were before we went. Little sidetracked adventures are everywhere if you are willing to find them. Go on. Get sidetracked. You’re sure to have a good time.
